Sustainability projects ensure that individuals can have access to basic necessities and skills necessary to generate an income so that they are not permanently dependent on aid agencies for food and shelter.
We want to help people out of the cycle of long term dependency, this means giving people more than just quick fixes.
We believe that if we can provide individuals with the tools, specific training and a small loan for them to start their own business or trade, it will allow them to translate their skills and hard work into the opportunity to support themselves and their families with dignity, sustainable income and independence.
“Before Insaan Aid came to my help I was unemployed for a long time. I was dependent on handouts from relatives and local people for my everyday needs.”
People were getting fed up of helping me. Insaan Aid helped me to set up my own business and this allows me to earn my own living with dignity. It has given me new perspective and new status. The business not only provides me with an income but also a social circle and a sense of purpose. I feel very grateful to Insaan Aid and am more hopeful of my own and family’s future.
