About

Insaan Aid, an award-winning British Charity, was formed and formally inaugurated in 2006. In April 2008, Insaan Aid became registered with the Charity Commission in the UK. Insaan Aid is also registered with the NGO Affairs Bureau of the Government of Bangladesh. The main aim of the charity is to provide help, support, and financial assistance to the poor and needy. Insaan Aid’s work is overseen by a Management Committee who are members of the Muslim Community in Suffolk, United Kingdom.

Those who (in charity) spend of their goods by night and by day, in secret and in public, have their reward with their Lord: on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

Since the formal launch of the charity, it has grown bigger and busier and continues to work in response to growing poverty in the world, especially in Bangladesh. In addition to providing help, support, and information to the people of Bangladesh, Insaan Aid also seeks to raise their awareness of education, health, sanitation and related issues, thus empowering individuals, and communities.

The purpose of this business plan is to clarify Insaan Aid’s vision of the future, explain its current activities and how it intends to develop and implement its future plan taking into account the views of the organisation’s stakeholders.

And spend of that which we have provided you in charity before death comes to one of you and he says: My Lord! If only you would give alms and be among the righteous.

Vision

Building a poverty free future in which people live in dignity and peace.

Mohammed Mainul Alam “Shahin”

General Secretary
I am delighted that Insaan Aid is making such a great progress and this would not have been possible without its supporters, funders, staff, trustees and volunteers. With the mercy and blessings of Allah we will continue to grow and help those who need our support the most including orphans, children, elderly, women and the homeless. This would not be possible without all our members, donors, supporters and well-wishers, past and present.

Hafiz Moulana Yousuf Saleh

Chairperson
Insaan Aid was formed and formally inaugurated in 2006, in April 2008 Insaan Aid became a registered Charity in the UK. The main aim of the charity is to provide help, support and financial assistance to the poor and needy. Insaan Aid’s work is overseen by a Management Committee, who are members of the local Suffolk Muslim community. I look forward to a poverty and injustice free World. Insha Allah. May Allah (swt) be with us in our strive, and may He bless you all. To build and maintain a good society, we must always be helpful to each other, as each of us are brothers and sisters to one another. Helping one another can take different forms (such as visiting and helping the sick, attending someone’s funeral prayer, helping the needy, guiding those who are heedless and ignorant). The Holy Prophet (SAW), and all the Prophets before him, as well as the four rightly-guided Caliphs, Sahabah, and all the learned scholars (Ulama) followed this practice. This was the inspiration for establishing Insaan Aid. There are many people in the world who require our help, this could be anything from needing medical attention, fresh water, housing, education and so on. If we could help a family to even start their own business so that they can be self-reliant, this would be a great advantage to them and their families. Most hard-working families do not have the option to start their business due to the little money they earn. As Muslims, it is incumbent upon us to do an act which will enable us to reap continuous rewards after death. We must have the heart to love one another and care for one another, this is rewarding, and improves relationships between people, leading to a better and loving society, and thus an example of social harmony.
