Sustainability projects ensure that individuals can have access to necessities of life, imparting essential skills necessary to generate an income so that they are not permanently dependent on aid agencies for food and shelter.
We want to help people out of the cycle of long term dependency, and this means giving people more than just quick fixes.
We believe that if we can provide individuals with the tools, specific training and a small loan for them to start their own business or trade, it will allow them to translate their skills and hard work into the opportunity to support themselves and their families with dignity, sustainable income and independence.
In the words of the beneficiary: “Before Insaan Aid came to my help, I was unemployed for a long time. I was dependent on handouts from relatives and local people for my everyday needs.”
